A woman from Ottawa called the other day requesting a list of local showrooms. Unfortunately, the factory is small and doesn’t offer dealer credit…meaning the number of LofaBed showrooms is limited. Since Ottawa is relatively close to St. Lazare (1.5 hour car ride), I invited her to my home, where I have a double size LofaBed in Monet Everglade with Galaxy arms.

This is, no doubt, the single biggest challenge I face in marketing the LofaBed online. People always want to “see it” before they’ll buy it. Which is normal, I think. So that’s why sourcing the LofaBed in China makes so much sense. When it IS available, hopefully this Fall, the price will be low enough to allow dealers their normal margins while still being competitive. THEN I’ll be able to open dealers throughout Canada and the U.S., offering customers a real choice: a Chinese-made LofaBed, available locally at a very competitive price; or a made-to-order LofaBed, from Canada, in the material, size, and arm style of the customer’s choosing.

Can’t wait.
