Mitch, you undersold yourself! The furniture is even more wonderful than we dared to hope it would be. When our LofaBed order arrived ("qouble" + chair/ottoman), the factory had nicely packaged and protected it all as you said it would. It was quite impressive. They really do an excellent job if our order is any indication. We were fortunate not to have rain during delivery, but it would not have mattered because of the excellent and thorough packaging.
We received our LofaBeds yesterday. I would have written then but I wanted to try them out first. I took a nap on the chair while my daughter took a nap on the sofa. Great naps!
Before the furniture arrived, my husband and I were discussing our purchase of furniture sight-unseen over the internet and deciding that we were either idiots or we were brilliant. The verdict is in and we're happy to report we are indeed brilliant!
You neglected to mention that it has two seating positions! With the chair, it is particularly comfortable because it mimics the angle of a recliner or theater seating. The sofa does the same-what an unexpected and delightful surprise!
My 16-year-old daughter has basically camped out in our family room ever since the furniture arrived, including studying for finals and sleeping there. She informed me today that she has 'dibs' on the furniture when my husband and I die! I think you have a future customer there because we are not planning any 'extended' trips anytime soon :)

Dear Mitch,
The furniture arrived late yesterday: a double, a chair, and an ottoman. I have to tell you, we were fairly awestruck. Frankly, I just didn't expect this kind of beauty, comfort and quality at the price you have. The fabric (Monet Sand) is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. The design is PERFECT for our apartment, and the couch is just this side of being too big, but that would have been on us anyway because we wanted that size bed. But it's not too big. The storage space is incredible. The color just glows in the room and highlights all our natural wood. The color was the right choice, and negates the what could be a size issue, because the couch looks so natural in the room. Love the real wood in the storage unit. It even smells nice!
I was EXTREMELY nervous about this purchase, as I broke my iron-clad rule of never buying anything from a TV show or internet site that I couldn't first personally touch and see (I bought a quilt once on one of those shopper shows and back it went immediately.). But we were desperate, and got such poor-to-zero customer service from IKEA, that you went to the top of the list. We got a MUCH better deal from you than IKEA and, obviously, MUCH higher quality. Your customer care has been just wonderful too. Thanks for arranging the delivery.....that was really a fantastic piece of all this.
Also, your web site is one of the easiest I have ever used. It really does the job. There is no bigger turnoff to me than a difficult, unwieldy, time-wasting web site. I just leave. I was betting from the care that went into that site that the furniture would be the same, and it was the right bet.
The furniture was so gorgeous coming out of the box that we hugged and KISSED each other! How's THAT for success? (We got married 500 years ago.)
This furniture really SHOULD be sold in top retail stores. I found nothing even close after two years of searching all around Québec City. I think our town of North Conway, NH, with all its ski townhouses/vacation condos, might be a fruitful field for you. We got a couple of Gold Bond futons from the local furniture shop and, boy, are they terrible.
The only problem is my husband isn't going to the mall with me today. He can't wait to sink into that chair and spend a rainy afternoon reading.

During our search for a comfortable bed that doesn’t look like a bed, we ran across “LofaSofa." The other sofas that could be converted didn't look comfortable or looked flimsy, and most of them didn't provide storage. When we saw the LofaBed, we liked what we saw immediately but felt insecure because anybody can put anything on the internet and those testimonials sounded too good to be true. Images of hamburgers from fast-food restaurants, which usually have very little similarity with the hamburgers shown on the advertisements, kept on popping into my head.
After searching just a little bit more, we decided to take the risk and sent an e-mail to the LofaSofa folks. In our e-mail, we mentioned that we needed a rush delivery because we had to have a guest bed in place by February 16 and it was already February 6th, after regular business hours – less than 10 days to place an order, manufacture the sofa, and deliver it from Montreal to South Carolina. Luckily, Mitch saw our e-mail right away and, because of our deadline, took the initiative to call us within 10 minutes. What a nice surprise! He only called twice. The first time out of necessity because of our deadline, and the second time because I asked to be called. All other communication took place via e-mail. Mitch is not one of those pushy sales people that keep on bothering you all day long. In our case, however, he knew that action had to be taken. Had he not called and given us the opportunity to place our order that same evening, our sofa would not have gone into production the next day and would not have been finished by Friday so it could be picked up by the trucking company to be delivered to us in time. Thanks to Mitch's excellent customer service and initiative, our new LofaBed was delivered on the morning of February 13 - three days before the deadline and in less than one week! My husband and I were amazed, impressed, and delighted! Mitch told us later that he was amazed, himself, at having pulled this one off.
After the ordering and delivery process went so incredibly smooth, and the LofaBed arrived well before the deadline and was thoroughly wrapped to ensure a safe transport, we started to feel much better about our purchase. So far, everything we read on the website was true. Now it was time to unwrap, assemble, and check out the LofaBed. Attaching the two arms was just as easy as mentioned on the website and in the instructions that Mitch sent when he notified us of the delivery date. Operating the LofaBed was, again, just as easy as shown in the video. Now we had to test the LofaBed for comfort - and BOY...IS IT EVER COMFORTABLE!?! Unlike one of those nasty fast-food restaurant hamburgers, the LofaBed is everything it promised to be and more: very easy to assemble and operate, extremely comfortable in all positions, very sturdy, doesn't tip over, has awesome storage, looks great, AND comes with two pillows! Oh, and the buttons - you really can't feel the buttons. One more thing - it's actually affordable.
My husband and I keep on admiring the materials and the workmanship of our new LofaBed and are extremely satisfied with our purchase. We can honestly say that everything we read on the LofaSofa website is absolutely true. We love our new LofaBed and can’t wait to replace our living-room set with a LofaBed Sectional.

Dear Mitch,
For the longest time my wife and I had a Hide-a-Bed as a spare bed. I was uncomfortable allowing any of my guests to sleep on it knowing that I wouldn't want to sleep on that bed myself. We recently moved into a brand new home and, as luck would have it, our Hide-a-Bed did not fit around a corner, through a doorway, down a set of stairs and into the basement/rec room. We put a double bed downstairs as a temporary replacement for a couch and for guests staying over, and got rid of the Hide-a-Bed. However, the bed took up a lot of room and was not a suitable seat for our kids when they played video games or watched T.V.
I went surfing on the web in search of a more appropriate alternative. Boy, was I lucky when I stumbled upon Lofa Sales International. This was, by far, the best solution to our problem: a nice looking couch that would take up only as much room as the Hide-a-Bed, which had an 8 inch mattress, equivalent to the double bed in quality and comfort for our guests! We could pick the material to match our rec room too!
The professional layout of the web site already indicated to me that this was definitely not some fly-by-night operation. When I e-mailed a question about the product, you answered me without delay. When asked, you promptly sent us a few swatches so that we could make an informed decision as to the type and colour of material. The quote you provided us for the LofaBed and delivery was bang on. You also kept us informed about when we could expect the finished couch.
When the LofaBed arrived, the bed frame was unfortunately damaged in several areas during transportation. After having discussed the problem with you, immediate arrangements were made on our behalf to have the entire bed frame replaced at zero cost to us. A few weeks later, a brand new frame arrived and it was in perfect condition. This was the type of customer service most people dream of. And yes, we were able to manoeuvre the LofaBed into the basement.
As far as our new double LofaBed is concerned, it is fantastic. Super comfortable to sit and to sleep on and it looks great! The kids love it and so do we. I would not hesitate recommending your LofaBed to anyone. Thank you for your exceptional customer service and product!

This is a letter from a senior citizen with several disabilities. He ordered four LofaBeds and was concerned that he would be unable to move and assemble them himself. So we set him up with Bekins' Platinum Service, a step up from Gold, and here's what he had to say about the experience:
The furniture arrived today and was assembled by the delivery service (Bekins). Everything is beautiful! We are struggling to make room for all the pieces, but we'll work it out. Those few days of delay over Christmas worked out well for us. Had it been delivered last week we'd have been running around unpacking the moving boxes that littered the area where the furniture was supposed to go.
We guessed at the color and wondered how it was going to go with our very dark brown new wall paint, but it looks wonderful, especially in the daylight. The fabric is better than we expected. We haven't opened any of them for sleeping purposes, but I can personally attest to the comfort of the sofa even when not opened as a bed. I sat down, then promptly feel asleep for two hours in the middle of the day! It's good for sleeping the way it is with those 10" padded arms (Galaxy). It even smells very nice when it's opened and you can smell that Canadian hardwood frame.
I watched them put it together and I think I could have done it myself, but it's very heavy and with some disabilities, I'd have never gotten the chair upstairs by myself....and it was great having them carry all the boxes back out with them. They did a good job and I tipped them well. We can sleep all the grandchildren now. We are very happy with your product and it has been a pleasure doing business with you. | This customer presented a unique situation. She needed a sofa-bed that would be comfortable enough for senior citizens with bad backs and she wanted delivery around-the-corner at an abandoned truck stop.

Well, I finally got my chance to put the LofaBed to the test myself. I had
to wait in line, as it was used for a couple of house guests (individually)
over the holidays. One was a 6-ft. 300-lb. man and the other was an elderly
arthritic woman. Both pronounced the bed quite comfortable. I concur! I got
a great night's sleep last night.
Again, the "special delivery" went well even though we actually expected the
driver a day later and he gave us very short notice. But, fortunately, Kip was
able to dash right over to the drop-off location. Thanks for letting us do
that -- it was without a doubt most convenient for both parties. And the
order was exactly correct including the fabric choices and the extra cover.
That was a relief, as it seems so OFTEN we get the wrong stuff whether it is
merchandise we order on line, or fast food in the drive-thru lane!
The LofaBed looks wonderful and operates just as easily as you promised it
would. I love the huge storage compartment underneath, which easily
accommodates all the bedding including pillows and a mattress pad. Doing
business with you -- including the exhaustive exchange of e-mails and
questions to be answered -- has been nothing short of delightful. I wish you
much success and prosperity selling this product. You can add my testimony
to that of so many others, as I strongly believe in supporting businesses
that do a superior job. You've got a great product at a fair price and you
are a businessman of integrity.

Your Lofa Sofa is all that it claims to be and more! I love it! My husband loves it! My kids have told everyone they bump into that they have a LOFA! My 16-year-old has been sleeping on a blow-up bed while Grandma is visiting from Florida, and last night he slept on the LofaBed....until noon! He then asked if we could move it into his bedroom.

AMAZING!
The LofaBed is extraordinary, Mitch. Your dream of a bed that includes comfort, eye appeal, strength and low wear reached fruition with your inventing the LofaBed. I love the fabric! I love the storage! I love how the kids can easily open and close the unit and how you use an all-wood construction. As a bed, a recliner and a sofa, it is comfortable.....no, make that very comfortable. The big bonus here: double sheets fit with no problem – wahoo! All who see it and “use” it, want it; it's impressed everyone, but most of all, us. Congratulations, Mitch, on a product that truly exceeds all the claims written about it. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the LofaBed to anyone, and could list a dozen more reasons why it beats a regular sofabed, daybed, davenport etc., hands-down. I have only positive things to say about my new LofaBed. I got the loveseat/ottoman combo, and I just love it! It is exactly as described. It was delivered a day earlier than promised. My husband and I had the arms attached and set up in about twenty minutes. It is very comfortable to sit on, as well as sleep on. I know, because I slept on it myself a few times to make sure.
It is sturdy and well made, the click-clack locks work great. It really does look as nice as the pictures. And I love the convenience of storing pillows, sheets, etc., right there in the LofaBed's base. I especially liked the variety of fabrics to choose from. Thank you for sending the six swatches that I picked out to "see & feel."
The whole transaction went very smoothly. I thought your web site was very informative and easy to use, as well as enjoyable (I especially liked the jingle and video). It was a pleasure doing business with such an honest and friendly person as you.
I put my LofaBed loveseat in a room I use as an office. Now I can use it as a den and/or guest bedroom as well. If (or when) I ever get a new living room suite, I won't hesitate to get the whole LofaBed set. I like it that much!

I want to drop you a line about how happy I am with
the furniture that I purchased from Lofa Sofa.
To tell you the truth at the beginning I was quite
skeptical about the whole idea to buy the furniture
online. In the past I had a pretty unpleasant ordeal
with one of Ontario's furniture manufacturers, and
as a result I was a bit scared to buy any furniture at
all online. But I needed to put something in my living
room, so I decided to try again.
I have Russian origin and in Russia almost every
family have sort of convertible sofa or chair in case
of guests visiting. And for me it was very difficult
to find just what I wanted. I spent three months
looking for nice convertible sofas and chairs with no
success. Ontario furniture stores are all full of
heavy massive things in American style. When I have
been finding something distantly resembling the sofa I
wanted, every time there was no choice of fabric, or
the furniture was so expensive or convertible
mechanism was broken...
And then I found LofaSofa web site and I could not
believe my eyes - it's exactly what I was looking for!
I was so excited. There is also lots of fabric to
choose from and I found the only fabric that would
make me happy - Edinbourg (pictured on the Savannah arm).
As this particular fabric had been discontinued,
I selected St.Clair Multi for my order.
I would like to thank you, Mitch, for changing the
order in the middle of the process and to let me have
the furniture I dreamed about, as you finally found
the Edinbourg fabric! Now I have the whole set in my
living room and I still can't believe that it was so
easy to get it all! I'm telling all of my friends about

Just wanted to let you know how very happy we have been with our LofaBed. In fact, the only complaint that I have with the LofaBed is that certain members of our family appear to like it too much! You see, Robert leaves for work every morning at three a.m., and our cat Peachka comes and sleeps in the bed with me until I wake up. Except for now she doesn't. I wake up in the cold, catless bed every morning, stumble into the living room, and find Peachka purring on the LofaBed! I'm sorry, not the LofaBed......her LofaBed.

I wanted to follow-up with you regarding the LofaBed we purchased back in March 2005. My mom has slept on it multiple times and she loves it! It is so easy to pull out and put back, and we just love all the storage space below. We store the sheets, comforter, two big pillows, and three other blankets under there. You have created such a needed product, especially since we only have a two-bedroom house. Since we had a baby 13 months ago and converted the 2nd bedroom into a nursery, we needed a place for our visitors to sleep. So we bought your LofaBed and a folding room divider screen, and turned our loft into the guest bedroom. It has solved our "lack of a guest bedroom" problem, so we don't have to move to a bigger house and be house-poor. So, as you see, your ingenuity will probably help us retire early! What a domino effect!

We are very pleased with our LofaBed loveseat and ottoman. It looks great and is very comfortable, both for sitting and sleeping. But you already knew that, didn't you?! When we got it home, it was rather easy to put together. Once it was finished, David and I were very impressed with the look and the feel of our LofaBed. And our friend, who drove it home for us in his truck, also said it looks nice.
This is a great little lounge-around couch to relax on with our feet up on the ottoman. And sleeping on it is absolutely comfortable, like a real bed! Our parents came home to our new "surprise" LofaBed and they too were impressed with its look and comfort. And they both commented on having a great night's sleep on it. The reason why we bought this LofaBed was to replace a sofabed that is uncomfortable as a sleeper and takes up too much space. Your affordable and comfortable LofaBed is a smart replacement for any sofabed.

I am definitely going to order one of the LofaBeds. I do have to say this LofaBed is the greatest combination of sofabed and couch I've ever seen - we've been debating the whole solution for a while now (day bed or futon or sofa bed or...) -none of the solutions was satisfactory - futons look so "college", daybeds take a lot of disguising to make them seem more like living room couch than bed, and couch beds are so uncomfortable and heavy!
I'm really glad I stumbled across the LofaBed in the local store, it's such a great invention! Finally someone improved on those old design relics.

Dear Mitch: I'm sorry Rockaway doesn't do a greater job promoting your product and even sorrier they are the only U.S. distributor, as I'm not a big fan of theirs. But I saw the LofaBed in one of their flyers and just had to see it. It certainly seems like an excellent solution to our needs. I have a pull-out in our guest bedroom, but that bar that runs across your back is a killer and the spring system that holds the mattress.....well, let's just say a hammock has more back support.

We do love the LofaBed. We have it in my teenage son's

My mom loves her LofaBeds. She did not mind the fabric. Meaning, it took her a couple of days to adjust to it. Now she, and my sister, say it was a great pick. They've figured out that it truly hides stains, and that you can add decorations that make it look very appealing. It's the kind of color one can work with. So, all is well, once again, at the Delgado's... :)
The sizes are great, and their usability is super. They love the storage space, especially of the ottoman.
In summary, I was thoroughly impressed with your charismatic personality and great customer-care skills and patience with the whole delivery and installation process. I just know I would have never gotten such service from any store or anyone else. I truly appreciate your time, dedication, and your commitment. Mitch, It was so worth the wait!
Bekins' first delivery this morning: ME!!!! I was glad I didn't have to wait around from 8:00-5:00. They called at 7:05 a.m. and said they would be here in 20 minutes. They arrived on time and carefully carried it up to our loft and put it together....even with tools!!!! Did not make one nick in the walls or the door - amazing!

Hi Mitch, Yes, I certainly am one happy customer. Of course, you know that I knew what your product looked like, and It could not have arrived at a better time. We had our whole family over for Mother's Day, and it was also one of our daughters' birthday, so needless to say, the LofaBed was tried out. My daughter and husband slept on it one night and my daughter-in-law and granddaughter slept on it on another night, and all were amazed just how comfortable it was and they also had a very good night's sleep. As a matter of fact, they could not believe it.
So yes, the whole experience was really something, and you are true to your word. The sofas were in Vancouver the first week of May and our delivery went as smooth as silk. I was also very happy that my sister Joyce did finally appreciate the sofa. She was very discouraged at first, but then it was not together. We had offered to help her with them, but she managed to get someone before we got over there, and now she really seems to enjoy the set also.
Once again, THANK YOU for all your trouble, but we feel as passionately as you do for the LofaBed, as they really and truly are SPECIAL.

Mitch, just a quick email to let you know that we took the LofaBed up to the cabin this past weekend and installed it in the living room. It was easy to move, easy to assemble, and looks just great in the room. And!! Its very, very comfortable!! We are really impressed and are seriously considering ordering one for the small, second bedroom which we hope to create out of the mudroom, sometime in the next year or two (things go slow in a distant location, when one is doing most of the work!!)
Thanks again for all your help in getting this sofa situation resolved for us, and when we finish some of the wall painting and so forth in the room, we'll absolutely take a digital photo and send it to you!!

Hello Mitch, The furniture industry around here sure could use some new and innovative products such as the LofaBed. One thing I noticed while searching for furniture is that it really doesn't matter which store you go to, they all sell pretty much the same things. Many items are very expensive and of poor quality.
Everyone that has seen your product so far was very impressed, and if I can send some business your way, I definitely will. By the way, my guests all tell me that it is the most comfortable sofa bed they ever slept on.

Hi, I'm SOOO glad I found your website! I saw an advertisement years ago for a 'lofa' bed (a futon that LOOKED like a sofa). I was immediately sold on it. However, my husband threw away the advertisement, not knowing I was saving it. Since we weren't serious about buying a futon bed, I didn't worry about it too much.
Every few months I think about the futon sofa and start searching for it yet again. I FINALLY found your website today.
And it just so happens that we're in need of a LofaBed for our guest/play room. Beyond that, I'm very intrigued by the LofaBed sectional. We have small kids and I constantly worry about them getting pinched or hurting themselves in the Hide-A-Bed metal frames... and they're NOT comfortable... the metal bars under the mattresses are awful. We even upgraded the mattresses, but there is an intrensic design flaw in those...gravity... you're bound to feel that bar sooner or later... not to mention the couch doesn't feel the same as a traditional sofa.
I am SOLD on your product. They look like 'real' furniture, not college dorm cheap seating options.... they're beautiful alternatives to Hide-A-Beds...

Wow! Love it! First overnight guest last night - loved it! Off to Australia until October 10th. Should have a steady stream of LofaBed-admirers before Xmas.
We continue to admire our lofasofa's quality of workmanship and finishing detail. Have had lots of overnighters since installing the lofasofa 6 months ago and have heard nothing but great reports from our guests. Two of that group have been back to look more closely and are serious about putting in an order.

I got everything put together and I really love the pieces. They may be a little too big for the room they are in.....the room is only 10x10. My sofa arrived safely, as scheduled, and without a scratch. It looks beautiful and fits my requirements perfectly. Especially I like the superb craftsmanship it was made with. It's very comfortable, practical to open and close; and the Astro Merlot fabric looks great. Please convince the factory to continue the Jeremy arm because it gives the sofa a beautiful, classy and rich look - frankly I would not want any other arm. I have one suggestion - there are many people who were born or travelled to Europe and who are accustomed to davenports and look for them (LofaBeds are hard to find in U.S.) - it would be beneficial to modify the web site and internet search address by adding European names to LofaBed and to have the website translated to Polish and German.

Hello Mitch, Our daughter, Jody, slept on our LofaBed last week, and was really impressed with its comfort as opposed to a futon sofa they have in their family room. I told her, it can serve as a very nice looking sofa, and when the in-laws come, it can serve as an extra bed. Hence your recent order. I'm happy to see that you're getting better delivery rates for your customers here in British Columbia.
Let me correct you, this is not your third order through me, but the fourth. Ourselves, my sister Joyce, our daughter Cori, and now this daughter Jody. And who knows, perhaps one day our son, Kevin, could give you an order, and hopefully many others will follow.

Hi Mitch -- We got the LofaBed and it turns out the timing couldn't have been better -- it arrived just before the twins did! The babies came a couple of weeks early, but they are doing great and we're so excited to be parents. And we're so glad to have the sofa -- we use it every day and love it.....one of the best things we got for the babies' room.

Hi Mitch, I’m so glad that I purchased a LofaBed; it is beautiful, charming and comfortable, plus it looks magnificent in my living room. I was searching for a sofa bed, checking dimensions, etc., trying to figure out if I had room for one. Then finding out that I didn’t have enough open floor space for a regular sofa bed, when I happened across LofaSofa.com. The LofaBed design allows me to have a double bed (when needed) in about the same amount of space needed for a regular couch, davenport, or sofa. I had it delivered and set up by a local furniture dealer, and the gentlemen who delivered it seemed quite impressed by it. Everyone who has come into my living room since it arrived, has admired it. It really is lovely and I love having it.

Mitch!!! So, guess what?? They delivered the LofaBed sectional....AND I love it!!! The couch is amazing.....my "husband" (it's so weird saying this!!) and I love it, and it's so comfortable to sleep. We are using the ottoman as an extra place to sit pushed up against the wall with some pillows on it. It's looks really beautiful.
